Elizabeth English, BA Hons, MPhil, DPhil (Oxon)
Founder and Director of Life at Work
Specialisms: Nonviolent Communication, Focusing
Elizabeth founded Life at Work in 2004 in response to a growing demand for expertise in communication, in both professional and personal contexts. Since then, she has worked widely in healthcare, with the police, in universities, and businesses. Fascinated by communication in all its forms, she looks in depth at the personal journey we all take as we look at what motivates us more deeply below the surface. Elizabeth also brings in over 25 years of Mindfulness meditation practice.
She is at present the only person to be internationally certified in both Nonviolent Communication™ (NVC) and Focusing. Her unique combination of these approaches gives her a distinctive approach to her work at all levels whether with leaders, team-members, or individuals. Equally at home running courses, mediating, or coaching, she helps people to increase their awareness, build inner resources and develop understanding of ourselves and others: everything that contributes to making people more able to interact and connect with one another and their world.
