Our coaching draws on Mindfulness methods as a support for inner-directed learning and change. In businesses, it’s an excellent support for Leaders, managers, and teamworkers and its principles underpins most known approaches to personal development. Mindfulness itself is typically taught over a series of eight sessions, using practice CDs inbetween sessions.
Mindfulness increases our awareness of what is present without judgement, and leaves us freer to respond clearly to whatever stimuli are present, with greater choice. It helps us deal with powerful emotions and underlying impulses which threaten to disrail discussions and decisions.
While we have little control over what happens to us, we can influence how we respond. The coaching environment allows space for individuals to see exactly where we lose the power to choose our responses, and where we fall into old, reactive patterns. Once this awareness opens up, new ways of responding are immediately possible. We become more alert, alive and energetic, and able to respond more resourcefully.
